Julie Levin Design Mount Lawley

Residential Designs

Description

In keeping with the character of the original 1920s house, the brief for this bathroom called for more storage space and a more spacious, user-friendly area.

Working to a medium-sized budget, Julie Levin Design began by stripping the bathroom and laying underfloor heating.

The shower was made much larger to run wall to wall at the far end of the bathroom.

The vanity unit was designed to incorporate soft-closing drawers with built in GPOs (power points), vinyl-wrapped doors and Caesarstone top.

The decision to plaster the walls rather than tile offers a warmer, more classical feel, while new art-deco-style stepped cornicing keeps the bathroom coherent with the rest of the home.

A new leadlight window further lightens and brightens the space, and helps add to the character of the bathroom.
