Convent Beach

Convent Beach Yamba, located in Yamba's main bay on the New South Wales coast of Australia, is a small and quiet beach with a rich history.

It was once used as a promenade for the nuns residing in the adjacent convent between 1900 and 1910. Previously known as McKittrick’s Beach, it is now named after the convent.

At Convent Beach Yamba, visitors can enjoy a peaceful and secluded beach experience. The surrounding vegetation provides shade and acts as a buffer from the beach's surroundings. While swimming here requires caution due to scattered rocks and boulders, the beach's sheltered position makes it a great choice for swimming, especially during northeast swells.

The best time to visit Convent Beach Yamba is during the warmer months of the year, between November and April, when the temperature is milder and perfect for enjoying the beach. To access the beach, visitors can take a track from the southern end of the beach. Street parking is available nearby.
