The Poppet Head in Cooinda Reserve Wyalong is a historical site that takes visitors back to the Wyalong gold rush.

It was originally located beneath True Blue Motel in Main Street, Central Wyalong, and was operational from 1894 to 1920. The head was recreated at its current location during the town's centenary celebrations in 1994, along with a replica miner's hut.

At the Poppet Head, visitors can learn about the laborious process of mining during the gold rush and explore the replica miner's hut to experience the living conditions of the miners. The Cooinda Bushland Reserve also offers the opportunity to stroll through and discover the local flora and fauna.
