Welcome to Norman Beach at Wilsons Promontory National Park.

Located in Wilsons Promontory National Park, Norman Beach is a beautiful day visitor area that offers visitors a chance to relax, enjoy a picnic, use the communal barbecues, and go for a swim or a walk. Read on for more details before you head out. As a result, there is a limit to the number of vehicles that can be in the park. To ensure visitor safety and minimize disruption, visitors are urged to consider visiting the park during the week, and carpooling is encouraged to reduce congestion on the roads. If you do decide to visit on a busy day, it is important to arrive early, before 10 am, and bring food and water in case you have to wait in your car. Additionally, visitors are reminded to check the Prom webpage before traveling for the latest conditions, and to support the park team by leaving the park when checking out to allow space for new campers and visitors.

Visitors with significant physical disabilities or mobility limitations can access the park with special equipment, such as all-terrain wheelchairs or beach wheelchairs that are available for rental. A motorized TrailRider, as well as a range of beach wheelchairs, are available for both adults and children at the Tidal River campsite. These chairs are designed for sandy and semi-rough tracks, where conventional wheelchairs cannot go. The day visitor area at Norman Beach offers 12 picnic tables located in open and shaded areas on an undulating lawn surface adjacent to the carpark.
