Description

This kitchen maximises space, including a surprising amount of storage, while looking a treat beside its jarrah neighbour.

Jason Levin from Dean Kitchens was employed to create a kitchen that projected warmth while being functional, minimalist and contemporary.

Two ovens and a 1200mm Liebherr fridge were to be installed and the kitchen needed to provide plenty of storage. The client requested the best of European soft closing drawer runners and cabinet hardware be used.

A beautiful, solid jarrah Jahroc dining table was featured in the neighbouring dining room, therefore the clients desired a kitchen that complemented the rich colour of the jarrah.

The kitchen was designed with practicality in mind yet simultaneously it provides an air of sophistication with a warm and contemporary appearance.

Structurally, the design required major modifications. The walk-in pantry, located at the end of the kitchen, was closed in to make space for the new hot plate area. The hot plate relocation has served up a much more functional design offering plenty of valuable preparation space beside it.

The pantry and fridge were moved to the hot plate’s original location, which was morphed into a ‘tall wall’ integrating the Liebherr fridge, two pantries and an appliance tower complete with two Neff ovens and a built-in Neff microwave.

Using push latches, concealed cabinets were placed at the front of the kitchen, allowing an extra 300mm depth of storage behind the kitchen. The cabinetry’s two-tone colour scheme emphasises the sleek design.

The red glass splashback and contemporary colour scheme complements the feature jarrah furniture, the original artwork and pendant feature lighting over the Jahroc table. Urban grey and glossy white cabinetry were also selected to enhance the aesthetic of the feature table.
