Bar Mountain Picnic Area Upper Horseshoe Creek is a must-visit spot in Border Ranges National Park.

Located at an elevation of about 1140 meters, it offers stunning views of the ancient Antarctic beech trees that surround the area.

The picnic area is easily accessible via the Tweed Range Scenic Drive, a well-maintained gravel road suitable for 2WD vehicles. It is approximately 2 hours 30 minutes' drive from Brisbane and only 45 minutes from Murwillumbah.

Aside from being a great pit-stop for road tours, Bar Mountain Picnic Area Upper Horseshoe Creek is also a fantastic destination for bushwalkers. It is located near three walking tracks, including Beech Glade, Falcorostrum loop walking track, and Bar Mountain circuit, allowing visitors to enjoy leisurely walks amidst the park's beautiful scenery.
