Thredbo River is a stunning perennial river located in the Snowy Mountains region of New South Wales, Australia.

The flow of Thredbo River is influenced by alpine conditions, with high flows from snow melt in spring and ice and snow during winter.

Throughout history, Thredbo River has had different names, including Crackenback River. It officially became known as Thredbo or Crackenback River before being renamed Thredbo River in 1976.
