Description

The Waterfall Way scenic drive is a breathtaking 185-kilometre drive that links Coffs Harbour and Armidale, taking you through five stunning national parks - Cathedral Rock, Dorrigo, New England, Oxley Wild Rivers and Guy Fawkes River.

The scenic drive meanders through a diverse range of landscapes, including open woodlands, farmland, river valleys, and rainforest - a true feast for the eyes.

One of the highlights of the Waterfall Way scenic drive is the magnificent Ebor Falls, located at the edge of Guy Fawkes National Park. The falls offer spectacular views where you can see two grandiose waterfalls and walk along the escarpment edge. In addition to Ebor Falls, there are a number of other must-see sights along the way. Cathedral Rock National Park is famous for its striking granite tors, which stand at a height of up to 200 metres, and for its many walks, including the Cathedral Rock walk, which offers sweeping views across the park and surrounding countryside. Also, the Point Lookout in the New England National Park is a popular spot for stargazing, while the Wollomombi Gorge and Falls picnic area, near Armidale, offers some of the state's highest drops and is perfect for a scenic picnic.

The Waterfall Way scenic drive is worth exploring at any time of the year, but spring and summer are particularly popular, as rainforest areas are in full bloom and the waterfalls have greater flow. Autumn and winter, with their cooler temperatures, are also a great time to visit and see the colors of the trees changing.

The Waterfall Way scenic drive starts at Coffs Harbour and finishes in Armidale.
