Ross Bridge

Ross Bridge is a sandstone arch bridge in Tasmania, Australia, completed in July 1836.

It is the third oldest bridge still in use in Australia and is located in the town of Ross. The bridge was designed by architect John Lee Archer and built by convict workers, led by James Colbeck and Daniel Herbert. Herbert's intricate carvings on the sandstone are still well preserved. Ross Bridge is a registered Tasmanian Heritage site, protected under the Tasmanian Historic Cultural Heritage Act 1995, and is also on the National Heritage List. It has been designated a National Engineering Landmark by Engineers Australia.
