Description

Welcome to Pilliga Artesian Bore Bath – a popular recreational spot known for its therapeutic water.

Originally constructed in 1902 as a town water supply, the bore opened as a recreational spot and campground in 1980. It is open all year round, except for maintenance every Friday from 9 am to 11 am.

At Pilliga Artesian Bore Bath, visitors can relax and soak in the mineral-rich 37-degree waters while enjoying the stunning sunsets and serenity of the Pilliga region. The pool area is roofed, and amenities such as dressing sheds, toilets, barbecue, and picnic tables are provided. The site also offers primitive camping for visitors who wish to explore the area's surroundings. There are 24 primitive campsites available, and advance booking is encouraged.

The best time to visit is during the warmer months (January-February) when temperatures range between 25-30°C, or during the mild months (March-April and September-November) when temperatures range from 20-25°C.

Pilliga Artesian Bore Bath is located on Pilliga Road, three kilometers west of the Pilliga township, New South Wales. Visitors can reach the site from Narrabri or Wee Waa, with specific directions provided for each route.

The primitive campground charges $5 per site per night, and payment can be made online or at the Narrabri Region Visitor Information Centre.

Basic facilities such as toilets, BBQ area, car parking, and a pet-friendly space are available at Pilliga Artesian Bore Bath. Visitors are reminded to keep the area clean and take their rubbish with them.
