Description

Located within the Georges River National Park, Yeramba Lagoon Loop Track is an excellent short walk that takes around 1.5 hours to complete.

It's suitable for people of all fitness levels and ages. The track takes you through an assortment of woodlands, including grassy woodlands, freshwater, and saltwater wetlands with diverse flora and fauna.

One of the significant highlights of this track is the excellent habitat for birds. Over 100 bird species have been recorded here, including kookaburras, rainbow lorikeets, and crimson rosellas. As you walk through the loop track, take in the striking view of the lagoon surrounded by the lush greenery of trees. Other animals found along the trail include blue tongue lizards, long-necked turtles, and several plant species like orchids and banksia flowers.

The best time to visit Yeramba Lagoon Loop Track Picnic Point is between spring and autumn when the weather is cool and pleasant, and flowers and plants are blooming. During these seasons, you can appreciate the best of nature's diversity and watch the migratory birds.

Getting to the Yeramba Lagoon Loop Track Picnic Point is easy. Drive Boggywell Creek Road until you reach the Yeramba Lagoon Fire Trail. The fire trail leads to the picnic point, which is the starting point for the loop walk. You can also use public transport with trains and buses available from Sydney City.

After completing the walk, be sure to head to Fitzpatrick Park or Burrawang Reach picnic areas to relax and enjoy a picnic meal while taking in the stunning views of the Georges River.
