Yirra Yaarnz Writers' Group

The Yirra Yaarnz Writers’ Group is a supportive platform fostering the growth of local Aboriginal playwrights at various stages of their careers.

Through dedicated dramaturgy and training, the program aims to enhance script-writing skills. Ultimately, Yirra Yaakin strives to produce high-quality works via a rigorous selection process, providing pathways for writers to see their creations showcased on stage.

Yirra Yaarnz Writers’ Group workshop sessions will be held at the following dates and times.

• Wednesday 13 March to Saturday 20 April 2024 6 – 8pm each Wednesday and 10am – 12pm each Saturday (6 weeks of engagement)
• Saturday 4 May 2024 | Online
• Saturday 18 May 2024 | 10am – 1pm
