Description

Jourama Falls is a stunning waterfall located in the Paluma Range National Park.

Situated on Waterview Creek, the waterfall cascades down the rocks into a serene pool below. Surrounded by luscious rainforest and fragrant woodlands, Jourama Falls is part of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area and offers breathtaking views.

Visitors to Jourama Falls can explore the area by following the Jourama Falls track to the lookout. The rainforest provides an opportunity to spot local flora and fauna, and after a hike, visitors can swim in the clear and refreshing waters of the creek. For those planning to stay overnight, camping is available beside Waterview Creek. Day visitors can enjoy the shaded picnic area and have a barbecue lunch while admiring the natural beauty.

The best time to visit Jourama Falls is from March to September when the climate is mild and there is less rainfall. During this time, the creek flow is typically reduced, making it ideal for swimming and exploring. To reach Jourama Falls, visitors can drive approximately 90 kilometers from Townsville. Taking the Bruce Highway and turning onto Bosworth Road at the Mutarnee Township, it is a further 15 kilometers to the park. Designated car parking areas are available for convenience.
