17 Millside Mosaics (expired event)

Events Mar 23 - Apr 7 Millside Mosaics

26 Wilson Street, Nannup, WA 6275

Description

Beautiful mosaic creations made by two passionate artists with over 40 years experience.

Exhibiting as part of the Blackwood River Arts Trail.

The beautiful town of Nannup is the perfect setting for creativity, and mosaic art is high on the list. Exhibiting artists Jean Ross & Carole Patch have over 40 years experience in the art of Mosaics and run the Community house mosaic group we encourage people to experiment and try something new.

In 2023 they opened their Studio Millside Mosaics in Nannup. Both artists enjoy experimenting with different medias and tessare. Enjoyment in the traditional type of mosaic is evident, whilst experimenting with nature and found objects. Carole and Jean both undertake many private commissions.

Jean has an extensive background in photography, so use of the lens and a good eye is natural for her.

Carole studied Art and Design and has taught both in Perth and the North West, prior to coming to Nannup.

Carole and Jean continue to offer workshops for beginners through to advanced, and visit regional centres, this year returning once again to Beverley, where they fully constructed and mosaiced a chair. This now can be seen at the Beverley Station Arts.
