Be charmed by the pretty garden & studio while enjoying viewing Miranda's oil paintings in a variety of genre.

Opening her studio again this year for the Blackwood River Arts Trail, you can expect to find an interesting compilation of recently completed paintings both in the studio and on the walls of her living space upstairs. Her major landscape works and printed silk banners are a result of a residency completed last year, while other works reflect her interest in creating works that depict reality with a degree of verisimilitude. Much of her work is imbued with significance either through narrative or personal responses to ideas.

Miranda is an accomplished artist who has dedicated the last 25 years to her practice after pivoting from working as a scientist, educator and communications specialist.. She enjoys recreating challenging subjects such as highly patterned fabrics, lacework and interesting objects. She paints landscapes, still life, portraits and figurative works and loves to learn new techniques and experiment with various media, though oil painting is her main passion.
