La Influencia

Melbourne based Afro-Cuban powerhouse La Influencia is the brainchild of timbalero Salvador Persico (Blue King Brown) and pianist Daniel Mougerman (The Bamboos).

With vocalist Marcelo La Greca, they perform original music as well as the music of modern Cuban legends Alain Pérez and Havana D’Primera. For this concert, they join with the WAAPA Latin Ensemble’s blasting horns and rhythm section for a scorching night of red-hot salsa, infectious cha-cha-cha and soul-stirring mambo and rumba.
