Tulampanga, also known as the Alum Cliffs Mole Creek, holds great spiritual and social significance for Aboriginal people.

The area is famous for its ochre deposits, which were highly valued and sought after by various tribes. Additionally, it served as a sacred gathering place for these tribes.

One of the main attractions in the area is the Tulampanga / Alum Cliffs Mole Creek walk. This 40-minute walk is suitable for most ages and offers stunning views. Starting from the car park, visitors will encounter a short ascent to a plateau with a large sculpture and panoramic views of Quamby Bluff and the surrounding farmland. The view from the plateau is truly breathtaking.

As visitors continue their journey through a gentle descent, they will come across interpretive panels that provide information about the area's natural beauty and Aboriginal heritage. The highlight of the walk is the viewing platform, which offers a mesmerizing view of the rugged beauty of the Alum Cliffs Gorge. Don't forget to bring your camera and wear comfortable hiking boots.
