Description

Located on the coast, Minnie Water Beach is a stunning beach village known for its scenic beauty and age-old fishing heritage.

The beach is over a kilometer long and is divided into two distinct parts. The northern half, towards Rocky Point, is known for its thrilling surf zone, while the southern half is sheltered by the reef and is used as a boat launch site for fishing enthusiasts.

The northern half of Minnie Water Beach is famous for its surf zone, which is perfect for adventure seekers who want to catch a wave. On the other hand, the southern half is used as a boat launch site for fishing boats, where visitors can enjoy fishing and get a first hand experience of the age-old fishing heritage of the region.

Towards the north end of the beach is a reserve opposite the store, which has a hall, toilets, picnic area, and the Minnie Water Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC). The beach is patrolled through the summer holidays, making it a safe area for swimming and other water activities. There is also a vehicle beach access track that provides easy access to the beach.

Minnie Water Beach is a year-round destination, with the peak season being during summer. The weather is temperate, with the summer months (December, January, and February) experiencing an average temperature of 25-30°C. The winter months of June, July and August, experience an average temperature of 16-20°C, making it a mild and pleasant time to visit.
