Dolphin Cove and North Tura Beach Merimbula offers stunning coastal scenery and access to Bournda National Park.

This pristine beach is popular with swimmers, walkers, and those wanting to relax on the sand.

North Tura Beach is a beautiful 4.4 km stretch of sand from Dolphin Cove in the south, to Bournda Island in the north. Dolphins frequently visit the beach, and during late winter and spring, whales can be seen in the ocean. The Dolphin Cove viewing platform provides excellent views and opportunities for whale and dolphin watching. Tura Headland, with its vibrant red Devonian rock, is a significant geological feature. A 1.6 km walking track along Tura Headland offers panoramic ocean views from the lookout.

Short walks in the area include the 6 km loop of the Sandy Creek Loop Track, and a beach walk to Short Point or Bournda Island.

The best time to visit Dolphin Cove and North Tura Beach Merimbula is in the summer months from December to February, when the temperature is ideal for swimming and sunbathing. The Spring months of September to November are good for whale watching, although it can get windy.

To access Dolphin Cove and North Tura Beach Merimbula, visitors can use the stairs. The Tura Headland car park is a short walk from the beach and is recommended for parking. It is advisable to wear comfortable shoes when accessing the beach newline.
