Description

Located in the heart of the Great Western Tiers, Tasmania’s Meandering Falls is a stunning 130m two-tiered waterfall that drops over rocky cliffs into the Meander River Valley below.

At over 1000m above sea level, Meander Falls rewards hikers with cascading views and access to refreshing swimming holes along the 5km stead climb that describes the Meander Falls Track.

The Meander Falls Track is a grade three walk that takes 6-7 hours to complete. The track is described as a 5-kilometer steady climb with rocky areas and a rough walking track. The side trip up to the middle pool of the falls is particularly rewarding, involving some fun scrambling. The Meander Falls and Dixon Track sections of the circuit are also great.

The best time to visit Meandering Falls Meander is during the summer months of December to February when the weather is favorable for the entire journey.
