MAAC Dive and Snorkel Trail

Attractions

Description

Discover Marmion Marine Park and the underwater wonders that lie beneath.

The Marmion Angling and Aquatic Club (MAAC) dive and snorkel trail consists of 20 informative plinths located on the sea floor. It is suitable for SCUBA divers and snorkellers depending on weather conditions, experience and ability.

Located offshore from the Marmion Angling and Aquatic Club, on West Coast Drive, in the Marmion Marine Park, the trail is approximately 400 metres long and varies in depth from 2 to 6 metres. You will see the start of the trail marked with a surface float. Arrows on top of each plinth indicate the direction and distance (in metres) to the next plinth. You do not need to visit all of them to have an enjoyable experience, simply come back another day and continue the journey.

The trail is a collaboration between the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions and the MAAC, which engineered and printed the plinths and installed the trail.
