Welcome to Landsdale
Much of the suburb was rural in character until it came into being in 1980. During this time the area was turned into a residential development, with commercial and light manufacturing areas.
The suburb is bounded by Gnangara Road in the north, Mirrabooka Avenue in the east, Hepburn Avenue in the south, and Alexander Drive in the west.
The main commercial precinct is known as Landsdale Gardens and includes most of the facilities of the area. Such as a small medical complex, the Warradale centre (named after Warradale Park), parks and reserves, lakes, walking trails, Landsdale Forum shopping centre as well as two schools, Landsdale Primary School and Landsdale Gardens Adventist School.

Landsdale is part of the City of Wanneroo local government area and sits within the City’s Established South Place Management Area.
It’s a growing suburb with a population of over 14,000 people, which is estimated to grow to over 17,000 over the next 20 years
Origin of name and history
Landsdale was named after the main road through the area, Lansdale Road, and was approved on 8 January 1980. The origin of the road name is not known, although it appeared on maps of the area as early as 1955.
In the late 1990s, Landsdale began to develop from market gardens and small rural lots into a larger residential development.
Landsdale extended further westwards to Wanneroo Road, when the suburbs of Darch and Madeley were developed around 1997. Landsdale Primary School was established in 1999 followed by Carnaby Rise Primary School in 2017.
