Nestled within Kinglake National Park, the Lyrebird Circuit Walk Kinglake West is a 500-metre easy walk that offers stunning views of the surrounding bushland.

This circuit walk is the first track off the Masons Falls walk that you will come across after leaving the picnic area. The track is a scenic loop that connects with the Masons Falls track, and includes well-maintained paths dotted along with informative signage about the historical site of Carman's Mill that used to operate in that area. You will also learn about the local flora and fauna that call Kinglake National Park their home. Continuing on from the Lyrebird Circuit track, the Masons Falls track will lead you to the viewing platform of the stunning Masons Falls. The waterfalls are an impressive sight, particularly after several days of rainfall. You can see native plant species of trees, fungi, undergrowth and many small insects and animals including lyrebirds. The best time to visit Lyrebird Circuit Walk Kinglake West is during the cooler months, from March to November. During spring, the bushland is alive with wildflowers. Usually, the park is open from 9 am to 5 pm every day, except on days of severe fire danger or during extreme weather conditions.

The Lyrebird Circuit Walk Kinglake West is best accessed by car with ample car parking available at the starting point at the Masons Falls Picnic Area. The picnic area is well-maintained, with barbecue and toilet facilities present.
