Those heading north on the Murray Valley Highway should turn right onto the Loddon Valley Highway, then left onto Wellington Street, and finally right onto Lake Road. Ample car and bus parking are available, and the reserve is also accessible by train, with Kerang railway station located just 1 km away.

Reedy Lake Reserve is well-equipped with facilities for visitors. Picnic tables, barbecues, and toilet facilities are conveniently located within the reserve. Designated walking tracks, including a wheelchair-accessible walkway, guide visitors through the wetlands and bushland. The lake is suitable for boating, canoeing, and fishing, with public boat ramps available. Visitors are advised to bring their own drinking water as there are no taps or fountains
