Cave Creek Walking Track

Cave Creek Walking Track is a 2.6-kilometre trail located 14 kilometres north of Mittagong, just past Colo Vale.

The track offers a leisurely walk through various natural settings and takes approximately one to two hours to complete. One of the highlights of the track is Cave Creek itself, which passes through a small cave, providing visitors with an immersive experience.

The best time to visit Cave Creek Walking Track is from spring to autumn when temperatures are milder. During this time, the track is usually in good condition, making it more comfortable to walk. Steps and a ladder have been constructed to assist walkers, and it is recommended to descend the ladder backward to prevent falling. Additionally, rocks at the cave entrance can be slippery, so caution is advised. It is also essential to bring a torch when exploring the cave.

For convenience, a car park and picnic area with barbecues, picnic tables, and toilets are available at the track head. To access the track, follow the bitumen roads and maps can be obtained from the Southern Highlands Welcome Centre (Information Centre) in Mittagong.
