Description

Korogoro Walking Track is a 3.2-kilometre loop located at the easternmost tip of Hat Head National Park.

The track offers panoramic coastal views and takes you through rare littoral rainforest and heathlands with wildflowers and endangered native grasses.

The track is well-maintained and marked, making it a perfect destination for hikers. Along the way, you can explore the rare rainforest and heathlands, and admire stands of she-oaks, which are an important food source for glossy black cockatoos. The park is also home to rare kangaroo grasses and white flannel flowers that bloom in spring.

The path climbs steeply, providing an opportunity to enjoy the refreshing ocean breeze and take a break for a picnic lunch with a view. The track is open all year round, but the best time to visit is from March to November when the weather is milder and the wildflowers are in full bloom.

To get to Korogoro Walking Track, you can follow the Pacific Highway from Sydney and take the Kempsey exit. From there, follow the signs to Hat Head National Park along the South West Rocks road.
