Lake Monduran is a picturesque rural locality in the Bundaberg Region, Queensland, Australia.

It is home to the Fred Haigh Dam and its surrounding foreshores and infrastructure.

The name Lake Monduran comes from a pastoral run owned by John and James Landsborough, established in 1857. The lake, created by the Fred Haigh Dam, was officially named on 1 January 1980 and has become a thriving hub attracting visitors from all over.

While there are no schools in Lake Monduran itself, Gin Gin State School and Gin Gin State High School in the nearby town of Gin Gin provide education to students in the area.

Lake Monduran is a popular destination for fishing enthusiasts, known for Australian bass, barramundi, golden perch, saratoga, silver perch, and sooty grunter. Visitors must obtain a Stocked Impoundment Permit. The lake is also suitable for boating, with a boat ramp located at Fred Haig Dam managed by the Bundaberg Regional Council.

A must-visit spot in the area is the lookout at the park located at the dam wall on Monduran Dam Road. It offers a breathtaking view of Lake Monduran. The privately-operated Lake Monduran Holiday Park adjacent to the park provides various accommodation options, including cabins, rental houses, and facilities for caravans and camping. Houseboat rentals are also available.

For public camping, there is a reserve located on the Bruce Highway, next to the Kolan River.

Lake Monduran is a must-visit destination for fishing, boating, and appreciating picturesque views of nature.
