The trail winds through fringing sedgelands, heathlands, under banksia canopies and over dune ridges with views of the wetland system and surrounding catchment. The trail is open year-round, and tourists are advised to visit during the daytime for the best experience. Depending on your hiking pace, you can complete the entire trail or choose shorter sections instead. A return trip along the trail will take roughly 2.5 hours.
