Accessible only by four-wheel drive vehicles and offroad camper trailers in good weather, it is not recommended for two-wheel drive vehicles or caravans. The starting point is in Bathurst, with a backtrack required to complete the return trip from the entrance of Box Ridge Road.

Along the circuit, visitors will find several reserve campsites, including Amy Anderson Reserve, Bruinbun Reserve, Tattersalls Hole Reserve, Black Gate Reserve, and Native Dog Reserve. These campsites provide peaceful and picturesque settings for resting and relaxing.
