I am an experienced teacher who likes to inspire others in the pursuit of creativity In my younger years, my training & teaching was guided by NZ Master potter Mirek Smisek and for many years he supported me in developing & growing my skills in the art of woodfiring and salt glazing which to this day I still remain passionate about.

I enjoy using the country environment I live in to reflect my love of the land and its beauty. I love creating functional pieces that people can handle and hold every day & remember their history plus I also like creating quirky sculptural forms that tell a story & reflect thoughts that bubble up from within me “My work is honest, organic and reflects who I am -it is a window to my soul.
