Murrumbidgee River Regional Park

Murrumbidgee River Regional Park Darlington Point is a 1180-hectare regional park located in the heart of New South Wales.

It offers nature enthusiasts the opportunity to explore the River Red Gum forests, which are an important part of the broader Murrumbidgee floodplain ecosystem.

The best access to the park is from Darlington Point, which is only 5 km from the town center and located at the end of Kidman Way. One of the highlights of visiting the park is taking a walk on the Redgum walking track, a 10 km trail that takes you through the heart of the River Red Gum forests.

In addition to walking, the park offers a variety of outdoor activities such as picnics, fishing, bird watching, and camping. The nearby Darlington Point Riverside Caravan Park provides campsites and cabins for visitors.

The park can be visited all year-round, but if you're visiting during the summer, it's important to carry adequate water and dress in protective clothing due to high temperatures that can reach up to 40°C.

To get to Murrumbidgee River Regional Park Darlington Point, you can take the Kidman Way from Darlington Point, which is approximately 9.8 km from the Sturt Highway. The nearest town is Griffith, which is about 34 km from the park.
