Description

O'Reilly's Tree Top Walk is a world's first suspension bridge located within the World Heritage-listed National Park.

It offers visitors the opportunity to observe the rainforest canopy up close. The walk consists of nine suspension bridges that hover approximately 15 meters above the rainforest floor. Along the way, visitors can spot orchids, ferns, birds, and other animals. Profiles of the rainforest flora are placed along the walkway to aid in identification.

For a unique experience, visitors can climb up to two observation decks in a Strangler Fig. The highest deck is approximately 30 meters above the ground, providing spectacular views of Lamington National Park, including its flora, fauna, and waterfalls.

O'Reilly's Tree Top Walk is open throughout the year, except on Christmas Day. Visitors can go anytime during the day, but it is recommended to visit on clear days to fully enjoy the views of the rainforest canopy.

To reach O'Reilly's Tree Top Walk, visitors can drive from the Gold Coast, which takes about two hours via the Pacific Motorway, or from Brisbane, which takes about two and a half hours. The scenic drive adds to the overall experience of visiting O'Reilly's.

It is worth noting that the Tree Top Walk is free of charge, but donations for maintenance to the Green Mountains History Association are appreciated. There are no age or height restrictions, but parental guidance is recommended for young children during the climbing portion of the activity.
