Overlooking the Blackwood River, Black Barn Studio provides a special space both inside and outside for an eclectic range of painted & sculptural works.

This year, the old barn that transforms into a contemporary gallery each year during the Blackwood River Arts Trail, hosts five artists that fill the barn and garden space with inspired works. You will find a mix of garden art sculptures, interior landscapes, contemporary figurative work layered with rich textural elements, and unique interpretations of memory and place. This year's resident Artists for the event are Dennis Wilson, Gemma Lawlor, Jennifer Loverock, Laurie Allison Bullied & Su Berghuis-Garde. Black Barn Studio is nestled in an enchanting thirty year old garden, and still has the remnants of the grape vines from when it was a small winery. The barn has also been a packing shed, horse stables, and the cellar door for the winery. It is now the working studio of artist Laurie Bullied who welcomes co-exhibitors to create fascinating exhibitions during the Blackwood River Arts Trail each, a favourite of regulars on the trail.
