34 The Little Art Gallery (expired event)

Events Mar 23 - Apr 7 Boyup Brook Visitor Centre

cnr Bridge Street & Abel St, Boyup Brook, WA 6244

Description

Five artists come together to give you a taste of the talents with a true country town flavour.

Beverley Prideaux's art gets back to nature with textile sculptures and paintings using a needle felting technique and natural fibres. The rugged beauty of the Pilbara inspired Neil Nicholson to take up painting landscapes that show off our beautiful country.

Gulia Iv finds inspiration for her impressionist paintings through the feeling of belonging that the local community brings and she expresses this in paintings of landscapes, markets, rivers, flowers and leafy streets. Sandy Chamber's love of the iconic Grasstree is depicted in his many paintings. Done in watercolours and with fine brush strokes these iconic trees each have their own character. Writer and painter, Anna Murchison, addresses held and evolving responses to space, place and sentience, with individual mixed media works often directly referencing her award-winning poetry.
