Top of The Torrens Gallery

The Top of the Torrens Gallery is currently owned and operated by volunteers, local artists and crafts people. New members and artists are always welcome

Built in 1860 by Franz Bevilaqua on one of the nine allotments created by Bluemels subdividing. From 1861-1885 the building was used as a post office and in 1861 was taken over by FJT Pflaum who ran it additionally as a general store.

It then remained in the family until 1968 when it was incorporated in the Birdwood Mill heritage complex and used as Tearooms until feb 1997, when it became the Gallery.

This shop features its original shingle tiles under corrugated roof and adjacent section displays pressed metal soffit lining and large 1940's style windows.
