Cooper Park

Cooper Park is a large 15-hectare bushland reserve located in the eastern suburbs of Sydney.

It has a rich history as a recreation area, recognized since 1885 when land was requested for recreation purposes. In 1913, the entire gully was given to the Woollahra Council as a park.

The reserve offers extensive walking tracks, picnic areas, barbeques, a playground, and other recreational facilities. It is home to a variety of native trees and shrubs, making it perfect for birdwatching and bushwalking. The natural creek flowing through the park adds to its tranquil atmosphere.

Cooper Park is open year-round, and we recommend spending 2-3 hours exploring the bushland and facilities. To get there, you can take a train to Bondi Junction and travel east along Oxford Street and New South Head Road. Alternatively, there are bus services available, or you can park nearby.

Dogs are permitted on a leash, except for the turfed sports ground adjacent to Suttie Road.
