Description

Harris Track Australind is a 9km walking track in Leschenault Peninsula Conservation Park.

It starts at the Belvidere Picnic area and ends at The Cut, opposite Turkey Point. The track is suitable for walking but not recommended for cycling due to sandy stretches. The walk takes about four hours and offers views of the Leschenault Estuary.

The track provides scenic viewpoints of the estuary and lush greenery. Visitors can also spot a variety of bird species. At the end of the track, Turkey Point offers access to the beach.

Visitors should come prepared with insect repellent due to mosquitoes and the risk of Ross River Virus. Protective clothing and skin protection are also recommended.

In addition to Harris Track, Australind has other attractions such as the Wood Gallery & Museum and Henton Cottage, a historic site.

The best time to visit Australind is during the warm and sunny summer months of December to February. Travelers can reach Australind by flying into Perth Airport and taking a bus or driving. Busselton Regional Airport is another option, with a shorter distance to Australind. Trains from Perth to Australind are also available.
