Description

Bullock Hill Conservation Park is a natural protection area located in Ashbourne, just outside Adelaide, South Australia.

Covering an area of 2.21 square kilometres, the park includes Sections 2082 to 2084 and 2086 in the Hundred of Kondoparinga. It features Bullock Hill, a hill with a height of 188 metres.

Protected since January 2014, the park was initially intended to receive protected area status in the 1990s. It is classified as an IUCN Category III protected area and allows for the preservation of prospecting, mining, exploration, or entry rights to its land.

The park is surrounded by a forest of pink and gums, with acacia species as the dominant understory. Its eastern area consists of a vast grassland with scattered blue gums. Western grey kangaroos can be encountered while exploring the park, and it is also home to various bird species such as red wattlebirds, rainbow bee-eaters, brown-headed honeyeaters, black-faced cuckoo-shrikes, and grey shrike-thrushes.

Bullock Hill Conservation Park offers a rich opportunity to connect with nature through its trails that lead through a beautiful forest and grassland.
