Middleton Beach is a small coastal suburb located in the City of Albany, about 4 kilometers east of the city center.

It is known for its picturesque surroundings and safe swimming beaches. The beach offers a range of activities including picnicking, barbecuing, playground equipment, 5 kilometers of white sand, and two granite islands, Michaelmas and Breaksea. Visitors can enjoy windsurfing, swimming, fishing, and whale watching, with Southern Right and Humpback whales often spotted from the shore or deeper waters of the bay. The jetty provides a great spot for sunset views and water sports such as paddleboarding, kayaking, and surfing. The Ellen Cove Boardwalk offers breathtaking views of King George Sound and Middleton Bay.

The best time to visit Middleton Beach is between December and February when the weather is warm and the water temperature is suitable for swimming and water sports. Visitors can also enjoy summer festivities such as the Albany Agricultural Show and Taste Great Southern food festival.

Middleton Beach can be accessed via Middleton Road, the main road connecting the city center to the locality. For a more scenic route, Marine Drive offers stunning coastal views. Albany is approximately a 4.5-hour drive from Perth, and daily flights from Perth to Albany take just over an hour.
