Description

This is your entree to the wonderful world of lampshade making, where you get to decide the fabric, shape & size of your new lampshade!

Handmade lampshades have the power to transform ordinary rooms into cozy, welcoming spaces you adore being in. In this beginner-level event, you will learn how to make your own lampshade, in a series of well-paced steps suitable for all ages from 16 years up.

All materials are provided except fabric — and morning tea with homemade yummies are included. You’ll be taking home a medium-sized drum shade, made using modern techniques and industry-standard materials.

Your teacher, professional shade-maker Kate Malfroy, has a background in upholstery, a love of beautiful textiles, and a passion for helping students discover a love of this great craft.
