Awesome Festival includes a spectacular array of events from theatre to dance, early childhood activities, music, film and hands-on crafts. Offering fun, layered programming for children aged 0-12, the festival is designed to introduce kids to a variety of creative mediums encouraging them to learn new skills in a vibrant and engaging environment.

Awesome Festival includes a spectacular array of events from theatre to dance, early childhood activities, music, film and hands-on crafts. Offering fun, layered programming for children aged 0-12, the festival is designed to introduce kids to a variety of creative mediums encouraging them to learn new skills in a vibrant and engaging environment.

The 2018 Festival will run from Sept 28 – Oct 12, with general public programming running Sept 28 & 29 at UWA, 30 September – 8 October in the Perth Cultural Centre. School excursions are also available from 9 – 12 October in the Perth Cultural Centre.

About Awesome Arts

Awesome Arts is a not-for-profit contemporary arts company for young people. It aims to engage with young people aged 0-12 through exciting, inspiring, accessible and challenging arts activities and programs. Based in the Perth Cultural Centre, Awesome presents the annual Awesome Festival, the Creative Challenge and other Special Programs.

Awesome values their ability to offer different ways of thinking about and ‘imagining’ our world and also their ability to serve as a catalyst in inspiring children’s creativity.

Volunteering

The 2018 Awesome Festival is fast approaching, and Awesome are on the lookout for a team of superstar volunteers to help run the festival! Volunteering with Awesome provides the opportunity to gain hands on experience in all aspects of arts and event management.
