Experience the taste of Italy with South Fremantle’s new Italian bar, pizzeria and enoteca, L’Antica!

L'Antica directly translates to 'antique', and the stunning new hangout aims to emphasise the feeling of recalling an atmosphere of the past, all the while attaching a sense of local history of the area it's in.

The interior of the new restaurant reflects a funky, hipster vibe and community, but the state of the art interiors draw upon historically significant Italian influences.

The interior was proudly designed by Singapore based architect firm, Weijenberg, founded by Dutch architect, Camiel Weijenberg.

In designing L'Antica, they thought to make the most of the existing features of the shop it's located in, which included a long space prompting many ideas for the firm.

Weijenberg placed two long tables angled towards the bar, and facing the street, using materials including reclaimed jetty wood and large copper lights to create a warm, homely ambience.

Sit back and enjoy the industrial inspired interiors, with home-made artisanal goods displayed on the 110 year old local clay brick walls, all while enjoying fresh dishes from the heroic wood fired oven.

Weijenberg has worked closely with its client to fuse elements of both historic Italy, and modern day South Fremantle, producing a relaxed space for customers to fully enjoy their L'Antica experience.

L'Antica chefs pour their hearts into creating authentic, historic, all around good Italian cuisine, serving Focaccia Genovese during the day, and switching to Pizza from Naples at night.

Close to the main local beach and harbour, L'Antica is the new place to be this summer.
