In a few short months, WA’s most popular annual festival kicks off as Fringe World brings its unique brand of colour and quirk to more than 150 venues around Perth. Running from January 17 to February 16, a huge range of local and international Fringe performers will grace the Woodside Pleasure Garden, Yagan Square, The Ice Cream Factory, the Girls School in East Perth and many more.

With the early release of tickets to 100 shows, it's Fringe World Friends who are getting the jump on the rest us. Those who have registered as ‘Friends’ can buy tickets from the 17 October, three weeks before early release tickets open to the public on November 5.

Early Release highlights include the rollicking ‘A Choir of Man’ at the Ice Cream Factory, circus act ‘Casting Off’ at the Woodside Pleasure Garden and ‘Tony Galati: The Musical’ at Girls School.

Festival Director Amber Hasler said that with more than 700 events, Fringe World 2020 promises to be an epic program.

“The early release of the first 100 shows is the best way to get to know the Festival. It’s a perfect sampler of what will be on offer before the whole program is announced in November,” she said.

Friendship also turns out to be quite financially rewarding, with a 30% discount on ‘Friends Frenzy’ tickets. Festival organisers estimate that Fringe World Friends saved an average of $70 on tickets last year. Other perks include a ‘Skip the Line’ Multipass and other exclusive friends-only benefits including insider tips, exclusive deals and year-around special offers.

The Fringe World Friends subscription fee is $40 and membership runs from date of purchase to 30 September 2020. For those who want to wait it out to see all the Fringe World Shows on offer next year, the full 2020 Festival program goes on sale from November 14.
