Big news in the Perth foodie scene; this week, Varnish on King, The Flour Factory, Caballitos and Hadiqa are re-opening for takeaway.

After being closed for over a month, the popular hospitality venues from Andy Freeman’s Sneakers & Jeans group will be providing takeaway versions of their signature dishes. The re-openings align with the launch of the Pirate Life pop-up in The Flour Factory, which has already been welcomed with open arms by the local beer-loving community.

“We’re looking forward to giving Perth a little taster of what we do best – in the comfort of their homes” said Andy. “We’ll be kicking doors back open in the next few weeks – and this is just the venues getting warmed up... It’s exciting.”

Check out the exciting takeaway offerings from each venue below!

Hadiqa at Home

Recreate Hadiqa's Moroccan rooftop magic at home with their special feast for two. Enjoy 36hr slow braised lamb shoulder adorned in piquillo peppers, sesames and dates, accompanied with jewelled pomegranate rice and soft pita bread. The lamb will be fully prepared, hot and ready for collection in a vacuum-packed bag, along with reheating instructions.

You can also pick up a bottle of very reasonably priced wine or a growler of beer to go with your meal. The team are doing growler re-fills of Carlton Dry, along with a selection of Pirate Life brews, and if you don't own a growler already, you can pick one up for $10.

Perfect for a weekend treat, their feast for two is only available on Friday and Saturday, with takeaway available from 12noon - 6pm. Order and pay online before 5pm Thursdays here: https://bit.ly/HadiqaAtHome

The Flour Factory to Go

This is only available pre-ordered, 24hrs in advance.

As part of the just-opened Pirate Life pop-up, select brews from Pirate Life will also available to takeaway in growler (2 litre) and squealer serves (1 litre) from Monday to Friday, 9am - 6pm.

Choose between braised lamb and pickled onion, frijoles and pecorino, and beef shin and piquillo salsa and get making your own tacos at home. All kits come with tortillas and guacamole. The perfect accompaniment to a taco night, Pirate Life beer will also be available to takeaway in growler and squealer serves.

Varnish on King Bakeshop

The Varnish Bakeshop has dropped, and chef Jacob Rutherford has been busy preparing some seriously tasty baked goods, including their famously delicious Pumpkin Buns and decadent Buttermilk and Macadamia Custard Tart, which you can order by the slice.

Also on offer is their Chicken Jambalaya Hand pies, a Louisiana staple filled with meat and vegetables, mixed with rice. Jacob has done his with shredded chicken, peppers, rice and creole spices and served them up with pickled celery relish. Delish!

If you're not good at deciding when confronted with the pastry cabinet, you can opt for the Varnish bundle and try the whole selection for $20.

Available from 12noon - 5pm, Monday - Friday. Pre-order via phone (08 9324 2237) from 11am for pick up, or walk-ins welcome from 12noon.
