They’re not called ‘fun parks’ for nothing. Here are some of Perth’s faves, for little kids and big kids alike.

1. ADVENTURE WORLD

An oldie but a goodie, Perth's premier amusement park has more than 30 thrill rides, including waterslides, the Freefall, scary rollercoaster Abyss, and the classic Bounty's Revenge. Pint-sized visitors can enjoy their own special rides, or splash around in the huge Lagoon. Paddle boating is a low-intensity option for the whole family, or perhaps visit cuddly native animals at the Aussie Wildlife Experience. Bibra Lake.

2. JUMPABOUT TRAMPOLINE PARK

Jump around! Perth's newest trampoline park has more than 300 interconnecting trampolines, so you can attempt to fight gravity by bouncing and somersaulting through a space bigger than an Olympic swimming pool. Kids under six have their own section away from the flailing limbs of their bigger mates. Jumpabout offers cardio-fit classes, group building, dodgeball, and various other cool programs for even bigger kids. Rivervale.

3. XSCAPE AT THE CITY

Are you brave enough to take on the tallest inflatable water slide in the world? Xscape at the City is Perth's first pop-up waterpark, featuring The Drop, a 23m-high waterslide. Work up to the challenge by trying The Waterfall or The Cliff first. Little ones can 'roar' their way through The Dinosaur Pool, and slide down six smaller waterslides. Race your mates through The Obstacle Course, bounce around the Jump n' Tramps, or take a breather in The Chillout Zone. Just 4km from the city, there's no need to drive far for a fun day out. Victoria Park.
