Enjoy a personal gin recommendation based on your botanical preferences from the friendly bartenders at Frisk, or have a spin of the iconic gin wheel at The Flour Factory and let fortune do the choosing. Here are some of the best gin bars in Perth to check out!

Frisk

Nestled on Francis Street in Northbridge, Frisk was opened in 2010 as Perth’s very first gin bar. With Perth’s most extensive collection of over 200 gins, you’ll be spoilt for choice between gin and tonics, gin cocktails, sloe gin and of course gin! Their most notable gin, which had a limited run, is the Beefeater Crown Jewel – a real rarity in Perth! Just a short walk from the CBD’s vibrant bar and nightclub scene, Frisk is the perfect place for after-work drinks or before a night on the town. With an outdoor alfresco and comfortable indoor area, Frisk is a year-round venue for you and your friends to come and enjoy a drink. Frisk is open from Tuesday through to Thursday from 4pm – 1am, Friday and Saturday from 12pm – 1am and Sunday from 12 – 11pm.

W Churchill

Situated within Brookfield Place, W Churchill is an Australian fine-dining pub restaurant, and a popular spot for gin-lovers due to their eclectic list of over 100 gins. If you’re a cocktail-lover, take your pick from their wide selection of delicious gin cocktails with their most popular including the Gin Fizz featuring Roku Gin, and the Dry Martini featuring Sipsmith London Dry Gin. Offering a tavern-style menu arranged by Chef James Watson, indulge in a home-made beef pie while sipping on a tasty gin concoction. W Churchill is open from 11.30am – late on Tuesday to Friday and on Saturday from 6pm – late.

The Flour Factory

Spread out over three floors of a 100-year-old flour mill on Queen Street, The Flour Factory is a historic site that has been converted into a modern gin bar. With an impressive selection of over 100 gins from around the world, take a spin of their gin wheel for a ‘luck-of-the-draw’ chance to have your G&T made with a premium gin. Or, if there’s a group of you, you could try their Gin and Tonica Trees, which offer nine different G&Ts arranged on a metal ‘tree’ holder. As part of the Sneakers and Jeans hospitality group, you know their service is up there, particularly since winning the Group Venue Operator Award at the 2020 Hospitality Awards. They’re open from Wednesday to Saturday, and bookings can be made for lunch and dinner here.

Aurora Perth Rooftop Bar

With an impressive skyline, Aurora Perth Rooftop bar in the Melbourne Hotel provides an elegant setting in which to relax and taste their unique, flavoured gin cocktails. The story of ‘Aurora’, meaning ‘the goddess of dawn’, who was the mother of the wind gods, gave existence to their famous ‘Anemoi’ gin cocktails which are made with their very own house blends of gin. Inspired by winds from around the world, the taste profile of each gin cocktail has its own characteristic and purpose. You can take your pick of their coffee, spicy, herbal, or citrus flavoured gins! If you’re feeling peckish, they also offer sharing plates, perfect for an afterwork catch-up with the gang. Aurora is open from 4 – 9pm on Fridays.

Henry’s Rooftop Bar – The Reveley

The third storey of The Reveley in Elizabeth Quay hosts Henry’s rooftop bar. With their gin list being the most extensive on the menu, gin-lovers will be right at home. Their giant cocktails are a major crowd pleaser with the Pimms Punch being the perfect gin cocktail to share with a friend. You could also opt for their signature cocktails and pair it with a cheeky pizza from their food menu. Sit back with a glass in hand relishing in the city and Swan River backdrop while listening to quality live entertainment. The bar is open Monday through Sunday from 11.30am until late.
