A dark, Day of the Dead-themed bar serving smooth Rooster Rojo tequila, Caballitos is the perfect spot for a margarita and some tacos with friends. Hidden in an alleyway, to get to the party you need to walk under colour neon lights, and step down into the basement. This isn't a traditional basement however; Caballitos is a true fiesta, complete with a DJ and dancefloor. Bring along four friends and grab one of their margarita trees, with 9 of the frozen cocktails to share amongst the group. Open Thursday to Saturday, 4pm until late.
La Cholita

Since 2011, La Cholita has been dishing up tacos, guac, and pitchers of authentic sangria. Consequently, the corner cantina has become a top meeting spot for catch-ups, feasts, and drinks. With over 100 different tequilas, you will be spoilt for choice with various tequila flights recommended by staff. This place is popular and fills up fast, so be sure to book in advance and avoid queueing for your next tequila adventure. Open from 5pm to 10pm Monday to Thursday, 12pm to 12am Friday and Saturday, and 12pm to 10pm Sunday.
El Grotto
Scarborough
El Grotto is Scarborough's very own Mexican bar and taqueria. If you're looking for a buzzing atmosphere, this is definitely a weekend spot for you, with live music and DJs from Friday through to Sunday. There are plenty of cocktails to accompany your visit also, with four delicious margaritas on offer. If you're hungry, their menu offers delicious tacos, burritos, and even seafood ceviche to share. Open Monday 4pm to 12am, Tuesday to Thursday 11.30am to 12am, Friday and Saturday 11.30am to 1am, and Sunday 11.30am to 12am.

A Mexican bar with a modern twist, El Publico is a popular dining spot in Highgate. With a great range of small dishes to share, we recommend bringing along a group to sample the menu: from tacos to quesadillas.
