Description

The Cassegrain family began winemaking in France in 1643, combining a heritage of French grape growing and winemaking traditions with Australian technology to produce wines that are authentic to style

Descended from an old wine making family in France, Cassegrain Wines uses a rich knowledge of traditional French winemaking methods combined with modern Australian technique and technology to create a diverse portfolio of wines.

For over thirty years, Cassegrain has been led by industry pioneer John Cassegrain, whose French heritage and unique wine-making experience has shaped the distinctive house style

VINEYARDS Located in the Hastings River region, Cassegrain Wines enjoys a temperate maritime climate and is widely renowned as the first winery to grow and produce Chambourcin commercially in Australia.

The original vineyard was planted in 1980, and with a keen interest in new and emerging regions, Cassegrain have since evolved to operate as a multi-regional producer. Fruit is now sourced from across NSW including Orange, Rylstone, Tumbarumba, New England, Hilltops and the Hunter Valley
