Dessert doesn't have to be boring, and Perth is filled with unique and innovative options for those with a super-sweet tooth. Here's our favourite spots around Perth that serve up desserts and treats, from boba pancakes to Korean shaved ice.

These are not your standard pancakes - Kumo soufflé pancakes are so fluffy and decadent that it even earned themselves a 2022 Readers Choice Award from the Australian Good Food Guide. What makes them so good? They are traditional Japanese street style soufflé pancakes paired with cream and decadent toppings. The crowd favourite is the boba brûlée bomb, with caramelised custard, boba pearls, and black sugar syrup. They are open 4pm to 9.30pm from Monday to Thursday, 4pm to 10pm Friday, 12pm to 10pm Saturday, and Sunday 12pm to 10.30pm.

Last Crumb Cake Co is a Bassendean bakery whipping up delectable sweets, but their true specialty is mouthwatering cakes. Cakes can be ordered from a variety of different unique flavours (Choc Biscoff Caramilk... we're looking at you), or you can pop into the cafe and grab a slice with your coffee. Other treats include tarts, doughnuts, cheesecake, cupcakes, and all of the pastries you can possibly think of. They are open for all your sweet cravings Monday 6.30am to 2.30pm, Tuesday and Wednesday 7am to 2.30pm, Thursday 6.30am to 2.30pm, Friday 6.30am to 3.15pm, Saturday 7.30am to 2pm and Sunday 2pm.

Croff Bakehouse

A modern contemporary bakehouse serving up Asian-fusion croissants with light and fluffy pastry. Croff Bakehouse is best known for their croffles, which is a combination of croissant and waffle, complete with sweet fillings and toppings. They also have choux, cronuts, macarons and tarts, and assortment packs that can take all the hassle out of choosing. Open Monday to Thursday 7am to 1.30pm, Friday 7am to 2.30pm, Saturday 9am to 2.30pm and Sunday 10am to 2.30pm.

Chu Bakery

Highgate If you love the sound of a brioche croissant filled with custard & rolled in citrus sugar, then you need to head down to Chu Bakery. This little cafe bakes it all fresh in the morning, so you will find that the treats at Chu are as tasty as they look. Their menu consists of a range of classic desserts, such as doughnuts, eclairs, and a Charlie Bun (a croissant pastry bun filled with custard, cream & jam). They are open Tuesday to Sunday, 7am to 4pm.

Café Guilty Pleasure

Mount Lawley

Guilty pleasures made picture-perfect is what Cafe Guilty Pleasure has to offer, and they're serving up spectacular Korean-style desserts and treats in their newly opened Mount Lawley venue. Their offerings range from traditional shaved ice dessert bingsu to their truly unique sweet cube toast and croffles, and even cheesecakes and sponge cakes to cater for all kinds of sweet tooth. Open from 12:30 until late, every day except Monday.
