Description

This beautiful estate offers creative tastings, a fine-dining restaurant, casual dining Riviera Bar, Taphouse, car gallery and WA’s first surfing museum. The first vines were planted in 1986 on prime country in Yallingup and offers some of the regions' best varietals, such as Chenin Blanc, SBS, Chardonnay, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Malbec. The Aravina Estate Restaurant offers fine-dining in an elegant, "Vogue-living" style setting, The menu focuses on local, sustainable produce, sourced from a growing collection of local farmers, as well as estate grown produce. The dishes are designed to pair with the Aravina Estate wines. Bookings are recommended, especially during holiday periods. For something more casual, unwind on the lawn and enjoy a Pizza from our Pizza Bar or grab a icy cold beer from our 8 Waves Taphouse. Visit on the weekends and enjoy live gigs on the lawn for the whole family to enjoy. The WA Surf Museum chronicles the local surf culture and history with an impressive collection of vintage surfboards and cool memorabilia to check out. Cape Naturaliste Vineyard

A boutique winemaker focused on bio-dynamic philosophies, located in a 19th century coach house that was originally an inn for horse and cart travellers between Perth and Margaret River.

Description

The historic property was originally a primary stop for travellers journeying between Perth and Margaret River on horse and buggy, a trip taking about three days. Some years later it became a dairy property. During this time whalers who moored their ships in the sheltered waters of Smith’s Beach would visit to purchase vegetables grown in the valley’s alluvial soils.

In 1970 the surrounding land was discovered to be rich in mineral sands and was purchased by a mining company. Prior to operations beginning, the government declared the land a national park, prohibiting any mining. In 1980 the property was purchased by winemaker Craig Brent-White. Vines were planted in 1997. 

THE WINES
The valley's rich variety of soil types and coastal aspect give the wines character and depth. This is accentuated by the bio-dynamic philosophies the vineyard follows to take advantage of the property’s soils, maritime location and abundance of clean ocean air from the Roaring Forties. (Strong westerly winds found in the Southern Hemisphere.)

The vineyard is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot, Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc. The red wines are made in a traditional style for age-ability. The wines have won many awards, with a highlight being the Torpedo Rocks Cabernet Merlot 2009 being named Best Red from a Single Vineyard at London’s International Wine & Spirits competition in 2011.

The Cellar Door is open daily.

Description

Deep Woods Estate is one of Australia’s most highly-awarded wineries, and was awarded Australia’s most significant wine trophy, the Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy for the Deep Woods Estate 2014 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. In 2017 it was also recognised by Ray Jordan in The West Australian Wine Guide as ‘Winery of the Year

Since 2005, Deep Woods has been part of the Fogarty Family’s Fogarty Wine Group, which also owns Evans & Tate in Margaret River, the iconic Lake's Folly vineyard in the Hunter Valley, Smithbrook in Pemberton and Millbrook Winery and Restaurant in the Perth Hills, Western Australia.

Located in the Yallingup Hills of northern Margaret River, close to the resort town of Dunsborough and the famed surf break at Yallingup, this stunning property is perched high on a ridge which unfolds into a picturesque secluded valley, bounded by stands of jarrah and marri trees; hence the name Deep Woods. The pristine environment also includes a large, natural spring.

Description

The name House of Cards is inspired by the gamble winemakers and growers take every vintage, forced to play the hand they are dealt by Mother Nature. Owners Travis and Elizabeth Wray are personally involved in every aspect of operations, from tending the vines to making the wine. The Wines The fruit that goes into House of Cards wine all comes from a single ACO certified organic vineyard planted in 1997 on Caves Road at the Northern end of the Margaret River Wine Region, enabling the unique terroir to be reflected in each vintage. To get the best `hand` possible, organic principles are used to improve soil health and vine nutrition. The vineyard is dry grown and cropped at low levels to increase concentration of fruit flavours. The rest is up to Mother Nature. Wine Tasting Visitors can taste the wines at House of Card's gorgeous Cellar Door with a seated tasting experience. The vines are planted on sun-drenched northern and western facing slopes overlooking the Indian Ocean. With a maritime climate that is perfect for growing wine grapes, Wills Domain showcases fine, artisanal Margaret River wines with its two old vine vineyards – Yallingup Estate (Est 1985) & Wills Domain Estate (Est 1992).
Wills Domain in Western Australia’s world renown Margaret River wine region is home to the Haunold family, father to son vignerons since 1383.

In 2019/17/15/14 the restaurant received awards for Best Regional Restaurant & 2019 Best Regional Chef by the Western Australian Good Food Guide. Also this year the restaurant received a place in the top 15 list “Most Delicious Restaurants” in Australia according to “Delicious” magazine, and a coveted “Hall of Fame” position in John Lethlean’s “The Australian HOT 50”.The restaurant overlooks rolling vine-covered hills of Yallingup and the seasonal, fine dining menu has a focus on sustainable, wild harvested produce by Head Chef, Seth James.
